I work in a little home office, surrounded by oak trees, in the Santa Monica mountains, near Los Angeles, California. I am originally from Maine but escaped the cold weather by moving to ever sunny SoCal. Let me put it this way, it could be worse.

I have 2 boys, 10 yrs & 8 yrs old and I consider myself very fortunate to work at home. I am able to get them to and from school and be available in the afternoon for soccer practice and play-dates.

I don’t do static. Remaining in motion is an important element to my growing business. To keep up with your needs, I am always learning and expanding my knowledge base. I strive to offer the most comprehensive and up-to-date techniques in SEO and related web development.

I must admit I get a little obsessed. I’ll wake up in the morning thinking about keywords or a new way to organize your content.   I love to check and see how my websites are doing, it’s fun for me.  (OK, not my websites, but the websites I’m working on.) Once your website is in my head it doesn’t leave until I’m satisfied we’ve reached our goals.

Give me a call, email, text, or IM — I love to talk about web sites!

Nothing But The Truth

I tell it to you straight

  • I’m only happy when you’re happy.
  • I’m honest with you about your website. I don’t mean to hurt your feelings or put down your Webmaster, but if your website isn’t search engine friendly, I’m going to tell you.
  • I cannot guarantee any specific search engine placement, nor should any ethical SEO company. I’ll give you estimates and likelihoods based on the competitiveness of your market, but no guarantees.
  • Improved search engine placement does not happen over night and don’t expect it. SEO is a process which takes development, research, time and brain powered hours. There’s simply no replacing time and due diligence.
  • Unless you’ve recently paid a professional for keyword research, we cannot use it. Selecting the right keywords is the basis of successful SEO. We’ve got to do it ourselves or we can’t be sure it’s right.
  • Improving an existing website is preferable to creating a new one. Except when it isn’t. Yes, sometimes it’s better to scrap the whole thing and start over. If that’s the case, I’ll let you know.
  • I do more than strict SEO, I look at your business and the web site holistically. Along the way I’ll make marketing, usability or design recommendations which should help convert your increased traffic into conversions. What you do with it is up to you.
  • I won’t be able to optimize a pure Flash website. They perform poorly with search engines and no amount of SEO is going to overcome that fact.
  • Lastly, I’m not a miracle worker. I can get you the traffic, but if you’ve got a product or service no one wants, I cannot sell it for you.

Honestly, I Won’t…

  • Sell you with unrealistic SEO goals or mislead you by targeting non-competitive search terms.
  • Leave you high and dry. Usually I an able to return calls and emails immediately, if not we’ll get back to you on the same business day.
  • SEO and go. To reap the full benefits of an SEO campaign it needs to be monitored and tweaked. We are in this with you for the long run, continually working on your SEO campaign until we achieve top placement.
  • Ever use Black Hat SEO. It’s not worth risking total banishment by the search engines.
